Why is my heat pump blowing air that does not feel very hot?
Heat-pump supply air can feel cooler than furnace air while still heating the home. If the temperature is falling, auxiliary heat is excessive, or airflow changed, the system should be checked.
Should the outdoor unit run during winter?
Normally, yes. The outdoor unit is part of the heating cycle. Defrost periods are also normal, but persistent heavy ice or failure to resume heating is not.
